What a productive day!

I did laundry, played with my hoops, and made a swimsuit cover up!

I bought this fabric quite a while ago but I procrastinated for a while since I wasn't quite sure exactly what I wanted to do with it.

 While I was in Colorado my sister wore a cover-up that had elastic on the waist and I loved it so I decided to incorporate that along with the extra fabric on the outside which I have seen before and I loved.

I am not sure I will leave the cut of the sleeves this way but I kind of like the sharp curve. I was going for a butterfly like shape along the outsides of the dress. I did not finish the edges and I am not sure I will. I tend to like the unfinished look on casual wear.

I also took apart a dress that I have had for quite sometime because it was way to short but I adored the skirt I could not get rid of the dress.

Now I can wear the skirt with any shirt and it is long enough to be appropriate for work (left picture.) Or I can wear it as a high waist skirt with the original top that was on it (like in the right picture.)

I also must share some recent purchases that I am adoring :) My mother was in town and we did us some shopping! 

I know this one is not everybody's cup of tea but I love the fabric with the simple pattern of the dress. 

And the zipper in back!

I took my mom to Pike Place Market and neither of us could resist the glass earrings. It was so hard to choose they were all so beautiful I wanted them all but these were the first that caught my eye so I went with it!
